Our original glider release handle has been refurbished with the addition of a new cruciform spring washer on the pivot point. this item was fitted to later Mk III aircraft and Mk IV and V aircraft as fixed fittings so that if the role called for it, gliders could be towed. Next step will be to temporarily install this on to the starboard side of the throttle box

You’ll probably be aware that the Stirling Project Website hasn’t been updated with news for some considerable time. However, thanks to Nick Moran, the site has been given a substantial makeover.

So as to prove that the Project hasn’t been idle in this time, the photos below shows progress to the flight deck with seat structure and throttle box in place. This is very much a work in progress and with luck you’ll be seeing more regular updates over the coming months once I’ve got used to managing the site software.
